Dedicated to the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, Martha is a seasoned professional in the realm of aquaculture, specializing in finfish, corals, invertebrates, macroalgae, and microalgae. With a deep-rooted passion for the ocean, she has forged a multifaceted career as a commercial marine life collector, aquaculture producer, dive master, and conservationist.

Driven by a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, Martha applies her expertise not only in the cultivation and propagation of marine life but also in the critical work of coral reef and seagrass restoration. Through hands-on involvement and innovative techniques, she strives to preserve and rehabilitate fragile ecosystems for future generations.

With extensive experience and a keen understanding of marine biology, Martha approaches work with a blend of scientific and practical knowledge. Her efforts extend beyond mere business interests, embodying a profound dedication to the protection and enhancement of marine life ecosystems.

When not working with marine life propagation in the open ocean or in the land-based coral and seagrass nursery, she is actively engaged in community outreach and education initiatives. She is focused on raising awareness about the importance of marine life conservation and inspiring others to join the cause.

Martha has worked in the field of ornamental aquaculture for over thirty years. She has dedicated her career to promoting sustainable practices to eliminate negative environmental impacts.

Director of Operations, Seagrass Restoration Institute, Inc. (SRI)

SRI is a newly formed non-profit corporation formed specifically to launch a land-based aquaculture program for seagrass and mangroves. These aquacultured aquatic plants will be used in seagrass restoration projects throughout the state of Florida.

Operations Manager, Aquatica Tropicals, Inc.

Aquatica Tropicals is one of the largest producers of aquacultured freshwater fin fish. Aquatica is a land-based aquaculture facility with multiple locations throughout Central Florida.

President, Florida Marine Aquaculture, Inc. (FMA)

In 2005, FMA was incorporated to initiate a land-based aquaculture live rock operation and expanded into the production of cultured corals and marine fin fish. FMA has dedicated production facilities to aquacultured ornamental species production.

Commercial Diver 

Martha is a marine ornamentals wholesaler specializing in the collection of marine ornamentals for the aquarium trade. In 1993 the U.S. Federal Fish and Wildlife initiated closure proceedings for the collection of wild live rock in both state and federal waters. A federal live rock lease permit was secured and the offshore production of aquacultured live rock began.
